One of the main considerations when buying a new vehicle is what the gas mileage is, and for it’s class, the Chevy Equinox gas mileage is very good.
On the Chevrolet.com website, the Chevy Equinox gas mileage is stated at 32 mpg, for highway use. This compares very nicely with the the Ford Escape Hybrid at 31 mpg, the Toyota Rav4 and the Honda CR-V, each at 28 mpg highway. As you can see, the Ford Escape Hybrid is only 1 mpg lower than the Chevy Equinox gas mileage. But you got to know that the Escape Hybrid is going to cost a lot more than the Chevy Equinox, given that it has “hybrid” in it’s name.
If you’re like me, you hate stopping for gas on a long road trip. So here the Chevy Equinox gas mileage wins out even bigger. The max highway miles driving range for the the Equinox is stated as 600 miles. Meanwhile, the Ford Escape is only rated at 468 miles, while the Rav4 and the CR-V come in at 445 and 425 miles respectively. I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather drive that extra 130 miles before my next fill up!
So not only does the Chevy Equinox gas mileage kick the competition’s asses, it takes their names with it’s stellar highway driving range!
